Innovate, Accelerate, Replicate

Innovate, Accelerate, Replicate ®

Innovate, Accelerate, Replicate ® are the three basic business building blocks.  How’s that for alliteration?

And, it’s so fundamental, we even thought to trademark it.

You could be an entrepreneur starting a business.  Or, you could be leading a Fortune 500 Company.  Whatever the case, you will need to be mindful of this trio.

In fact, as you begin reading this article, I would invite you to take a look at this infographic.

Innovate

The word innovate is somewhat self-defining.  When you design a brand new widget, you will innovate.  If you design a new service offering, you will innovate.

And, if you are a Fortune 500 Company with flat, consecutive fiscal quarters, you might be on a plateau.  When this happens, you need to innovate.

The word innovate has the connotation of a new beginning or the start of something new.  And, if you think about launching a new business, this makes sense.

But, in business, you need to continually innovate.  In fact, if you don’t continue to innovate, you and your organization will run the risk of becoming extinct.

Accelerate

After you innovate, you need to accelerate.  It’s time to launch your idea.  If you don’t accelerate, it obviates innovate.

After all, God willing, what good is a good idea if you don’t put it into practice?

If you viewed the infographic, God willing, it’s during the Accelerate phase that you actually experience growth.

Replicate

All of us individually – and as organizational leaders – are either on or headed towards a plateau.

A plateau can be a nice place to hang out for awhile and catch your breath.  But …

“A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.” – Proverbs 24:33-34

So, don’t hang out too long.

At Blue Elevator®, we define scaling as repeatable growth.  And so, “Replicate” means that it’s time to do things all over again.

  1. Time to Innovate.
  2. Time to Accelerate.
  3. And, a time to Replicate (to Innovate and Accelerate again).

Innovate, Accelerate, Replicate ®

It’s kind of like “lather, rinse, repeat.”

In business, you will be need to Innovate, Accelerate, Replicate ® over and over and over again.

Whereas you need to Innovate and Accelerate, the application is ever-changing.  This means that it will look different at each age and stage.

And, that’s what makes it fun and interesting.  After you Innovate and Accelerate, it’s time, once again, to Replicate.
