TOMA

Toma.  Maybe you’ve heard this term before.  Maybe you haven’t.

Actually, I had a friend in high school named Toma.  Toma had a souped-up Dodge Charger, which was a spitting image of The General Lee.  If you’re young, that might not ring a bell.  The General Lee was the car Bo and Luke Duke drove on the show The Dukes of Hazzard.  Toma’s Dodge even came complete with the horn that played a short clip of the tune Dixie.

Toma didn’t drive that car to make a political statement.  Toma was a super nice guy that loved everyone.  He drove that car just because it was cool.  That’s it.  This was back in the late 70s and 80s in Orange County, California.  This was a time when most people loved God, went to Church, and there were no mobile phones.  And, this was a time when people discussed politics once every 4 years – not every minute of every day.

But, I digress.

Another TOMA

TOMA is also an acronym.  Although we didn’t create the term, at Blue Elevator™, we use this term to help you remember a concept.

TOMA stands for Top Of Mind Awareness.

The Game And The Goal

So, here’s both the game and the goal:

Whatever your business or organization, your goal is to make sure your brand is “top of mind.”

  • If you’re hungry and want to go out to eat, what restaurant immediately comes to mind?
  • If you need a plumber to unstop a drain, who do you call first?
  • And, if you need to shop for clothing, where do you shop first?

That is summarily the game and the goal, as we say it.  Whomever you think of first is said to be “top of mind.”

Why?

God willing, the reason you want your brand to be top of mind is so you get the business.

What And How?

So, the next questions are …

  • What do you do to create TOMA?
  • And, How do you go about creating TOMA?

And, we capitalize and bold: Why, What, and How for emphasis.  We do this, because at Blue Elevator™, we use a three-prong, systematic approach in our business advisory.  Would you like to know the secret to creating TOMA?

The Secret

The secret to creating TOMA, God willing, is to employ the Blue Elevator™ Rules of Seven.  And, if you’d like to know more, we invite you to contact us.
